Scientifically, industrial hemp and cannabus are the same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis sativa. They have a unique genetic profile, however. Typically, industrial hemp is very fibrous with long strong stalks and few flowering buds. Cannabis plants are typically smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds. However, newer industrial hemp varieties, being bred to have more flowers and higher yields of cannabinoids and terpenes. Most of the time, cannabis has a high amount of THC and a very low amount of CBD. Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has higher amounts of CBD and only trace amounts of THC. Fortunately, the cannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from cannabis without the ‘high.’ Historically, hemp has been used to make food products, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more. The term “cannabis oil” can refer to either a cannabis or hemp-derived oil, since cannabis and hemp are two different forms, all TLE CBD products are derived from hemp.

CBD is legal in almost every European country — but there are some exceptions. The European Union considers CBD a novel food and aims to limit access to CBD products. For the best shelf life please store in a cool dark area away from direct sunlight, with low humidity. This will help to preserve the properties of the hemp extract. If properly stored CBD may have up to a 1 year shelf life!

TLE CBD oil is sourced from locally-grown industrial hemp, and may contain trace THC levels below 0.3%. TLE does not guarantee that you will or will not pass a drug screen after consuming our products. However it is unlikely that trace THC content will show up on various drug screenings.
